The Espace Mont Blanc, the three countries area around the highest mountains in the Alps, is an Eldorado for freeriders. Steep slopes, majestic glaciers in the high mountains mark the region. During these on and off piste courses, which are taught by a certified mountain- and ski guide / well-qualified ski instructor, you'll develop your skiing technique on the slopes in order to be able to take the first turns in unprepared terrain. Naturally, this involves learning to deal with avalanche safety equipment. These weeks are for experienced skiers who can descend black runs safely and who want to develop or improve their ski technique off piste.

Off piste introduction week with snow safety training
Great snow, ambiance and a rugged backcountry mountain landscape of incomparable beauty, are the ingredients why skiers and mountaineers from all over the world, again and again return to the area of Chamonix. The ski resorts of Chamonix and its surroundings offer numerous routes and optimum possibilities for off piste skiing, also called freeride. This off piste course is designed for good piste skiers who want to push their limits. Away from the crowded slopes you will enjoy dazzling descents in a stunning setting.
The programnme components include ski instruction on and off the piste and so called 'snow safety training' which means the use of avalanche search equipment, probes and shovels and safety instruction outside the piste. Under the motto of 'learning by doing' your mountainguide, will introduce you to back country skiing in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. While your mountain guide takes you to the grandiose high alpine mountainworld with its many glaciers and steep granite rocks where this unique area is known for.
You will be staying at the Bekker Chalet, our own skilodge with spa facilities is located just outside the Chamonix valley but just a few steps from the ski resorts at the foot of Mont Blanc and Chamonix. After a hearty breakfast with freshly baked bread and birchermuesli with fresh fruit served by Ilse, our 4x4 minivan is ready to take you to one of the beautiful ski resorts in the area. In the evening you can enjoy a glass of good wine at the wood stove, taste good food (sometimes at home and sometimes in a restaurant within walking distance, always included in the price) and relax in the sauna or the wood fired hot tub on the terrace. The chalet features TV and everywhere free, fast WiFi. Coffee and tea are always included for free during your stay.
