Freeride training Leysin

Leysin is a friendly ski resort in Switzerland, renowned for its beautiful views of the Dents du Midi, the Mont Blanc massif and Lake Geneva. It is an excellent base for off-piste and ski touring in various types of terrain, ranging from gentle slopes to steeper, more rugged descents. In contrast to Chamonix you will also find some milder descents, although there are plenty of challenging and steep slopes to be found.

With many different ski areas nearby such as les Diablerets and its Glacier 3000, Gstaad and the Portes du Soleil, the program can easily be adapted to the weather and snow conditions.

By using the ski lifts we can make short skimo trips that lead to easy summits with spectacular views. During this week, not only the emphasis is placed on introduction and / or improving your off-piste / freeride technique, but topics such as safety and understanding of snow conditions are also covered. Moreover, it is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with ski touring and the real wilderness experience. It is not a course in the classic sense of the word; under the motto of learning by doing you make beautiful off-piste tours, whilst the guide gives advice and useful tips on your ski technique, use of the material, not to mention snow safety. 

In the evening you will stay in a wonderfully comfortable and recently completely renovated chalet hotel with spacious rooms, wellness facilities including an outdoor hot tub with great views, and a good kitchen. The package is based upon double and triple rooms. Single rooms based on availability and at extra charge.

The week program is from Saturday to Saturday including a 6-day ski pass for Leysin-Les Mosses. On Sunday you can ski independently and from Monday to Friday the guide will take you off piste. End of the program on Saturday after breakfast.
