COVID-19 Update 15 juni 2020

++++

Since May 11, 2020, mountain guides, hiking guides and climbing instructors are permitted again to work with guests.
The mountain guides, hiking guides and climbing instructors adhere to the Federal Office of Public Health FOPH conduct and hygiene regulations and ensure that guests also comply with these rules.

COVID-19 Code of Conduct for mountain sports

1. Health self check

All participants perform a preliminary health check. Only participants and guides who:
- are not infected with Covid-19 or cured from it at least 14 days ago
- are not under medical treatment for a Covid-19 infection
- do not show "Covid 19 suspected" disease symptoms that have not yet been diagnosed (coughing, sneezing, fever, loss of taste and / or smell)
- do not have acute Covid 19 infections in their immediate vicinity (family members, housemates, colleagues, etc.)

may participate in our tours. If in doubt, you should report to your doctor for a Corona test and submit a negative test result to us.

2. Physical contact and social distancing

As a basic rule, physical contact should be avoided.
In case of exceptions, for example in the event of an accident, appropriate precautions are taken (protective mask or improvised mask, gloves)
In Switzerland a social distancing rule of 2 meters is still valid, which must be respected as much as possible. The distance may be shorter than 2 m for a short time without additional precautions (e.g. for the partner check).
If the distance of 2 m cannot be maintained for a longer period of time, precautions are taken to suit the situation (protective mask, improvised mask, provide contact tracking).

3. Group size

There are no more restrictions on the group size.
In order to detect possible contamination chains, the contact details of all participants must be kept for at least a month.

4. Accommodation / meals

We spend the nights exclusively in hotels, lodges and huts, which can guarantee compliance with the hygiene rules.
Regarding mountain huts:

  • Bring your own liner and pillowcase. Liners can be purchased from us for € 15 each
  • Do not share food with fellow travelers and drink from your own bottle
  • You can sit with a maximum of 4 people at the table in the huts; there is a minimum distance of 2 meters in between the tables. This means that meals are often served in different shifts and your time at the table can be limited.
  • Take your own responsibility and open the windows of the sleeping areas for a maximum of fresh air!
  • Due to strict hygiene measures, the number of places available in the huts is very limited. It is therefore extra important to book in time!

5. Travel and transfers

  • Whenever possible, travel by private car, avoid carpooling between people who do not live in the same household
  • Hygiene measures must be observed when using public transport; that means you have to wear a mask if there is not enough distance to keep
  • If possible, do not fill cars and minivans completely during transfers. Wear a mask if you cannot keep the distance.
