End of summer, winter is coming!

It's been a nice summer with private guiding, which started pretty quick after the last skiprogram to Norway and Sweden. It then became very busy for us, after a Mont Blanc week, with the stage from Bern to Finhaut-Emosson passing in front of the Bekkerchalet. We are talking cycling of course, the Tour de France.  What a day that was, July 20. Edward rode the stage himself from Bern to Finhaut ahead of the peloton in the very early morning with a group of 40 enthusiastic riders from near Bern. After that a succesfull Elbrus climb and another Mont Blanc week which is now finishing on Gran Paradiso (because of weather and stonefall in Gouter couloir).

So..getting ready for Winterseason 2016/17. We are excited! We will start the skiseason at home, from Finhaut, we are in such a unique location that weatherwise and snowwise we can choose from all directions, North, South and -West Alps. Within easy reach are Chamonix, Courmayeur and Verbier. Plus a lot of lesser known places like Les Marecottes, Vallorcine, Bruson, Ovronnaz, Val d'Anniviers, under any condition we can get there with our 4x4 vehicles equipped for skiing. Ski France, Italy and Switzerland in one week! Isn't that unique? Choose from snow in the South because of Föhn, ski the North because of Northwesterly conditions! Enjoy nice unknown wines with cheese fondue in the Valais, hospitality and specialities in the Aosta Valley!

As we speak the days are getting colder, shorter..and it's snowing right now at altitude. Winter is coming!
