Welcome to Bekker Mountain Travel. We are a mountain guiding agency and tour operator, based in the Swiss Alps between Chamonix and Verbier. Our main activities are backcountry skiing and mountaineering holidays. From glacier treks to worldwide climbing expeditions and from beginners freeride training to heliskiing, freeride and skitouring holidays; for each level we offer tailored programs and tours, always accompanied by professional IFMGA authorized mountain and ski guides. The most climbed route on Mont Blanc is the Goûter route, following the Bosses ridge towards the summit.
The Norwegian-Canadian outdoorbrand Helly Hansen is as from winter 2021-2022 official partner of Bekker Mountain Travel. The entire team of the Netherlands' first IFMGA-certified Mountain and Ski guide Edward Bekker will be equipped with outfits from Helly Hansen's professional Odin mountain line.

The hidden gems made my trip very special
Edward's experience and knowledge of the terrain ensures you come to the right place at the right time so you can ski the best snow available. For me though, it were the small ski areas (Where you were almost alone) and the hidden gems that were the hotel and restaurants he took us to that made my trip very special. And when you get back exhausted from a great powder day, Ilse and her big smile will be there to greet you with some snacks, and show off her great cooking skills at dinner.

I climbed the Mont Blanc succesfully in June 2018 with Bekker Mountain Travel. I look back on an amazing experience, mainly due to the expertise and personalities of Edward Bekker and his wife Ilse. Great food and hospitality in their chalet, fantastic acclimatization climbs and great guides with a "safety-first" attitude all the way to the top. Really fun and challenging experience.

"This was my 4th trip with Edward, and we had an amazing week. From "Artic skiing" (due to strong winds) on Tuesday to fresh powder from Wednesday onwards.... Ilse Bekker is a warm hostess, who prepares delightful meals and makes everybody feel at home. The chalet is fitted with amenities such as a sauna and outdoor hut tub, great for relaxing at the end of a hard day’s work!"
